SunEvent

SunEvent is a lightstability tester that simulates sunlight in compliance with international standards. It uses metal halide lamps to faithfully reproduce the sunlight spectrum and precisely evaluate the effects of light, heat, and humidity on materials and products. It is used in a wide range of fields, including automotive interior materials, electronic components, building materials, and solar cells, and realizes accelerated degradation tests that reproduce outdoor exposure conditions in a short period of time.

Basic performance

  • Irradiation intensity: 400-1150 W/m² (uniformity ±5%)
  • Temperature range: -20 to +100°C when irradiated, -30 to +100°C when not irradiated

Spectral reproduction compliant with international standards

Metal halide lamps compliant with CIE 85 Table 4 are used to ensure reliable sunlight reproduction. The irradiation intensity is set based on 1000 W/m² to ensure uniformity and long-term stability.

In addition to sunlight irradiation, the combined test function allows simultaneous control of temperature and humidity. Relative humidity up to 90%RH can be handled, enabling reproduction of conditions close to the actual environment in a short period of time.

Uniform and stable irradiation

Optimized airflow design and heat-treated double glass filters ensure uniform and stable irradiation throughout the test space. Highly reproducible results are obtained.
